1. Overview
Viridel is a personal finance and budgeting app — a tool for one individual to track their own money. It is not a content-publishing platform, not a team tool, and not for bulk or automated use. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all plans and platforms and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. By using Viridel, you agree to it.
2. Permitted Use
You may use Viridel for any lawful personal purpose, including to:
- Track your personal finances, income, expenses, budgets, bills, savings goals, and subscriptions.
- Use the money calendar for personal bill, income, and payment dates.
- Track freelance or sole-trader finances for your own personal tax purposes.
- Export your data for personal backup or import into other tools.
- Use native home-screen widgets where offered on supported platforms.
3. Prohibited Conduct
3.1 — Illegal activity
- Tracking another person's finances or personal data without their knowledge and lawful consent.
- Storing third parties' personal data in cloud sync without a lawful basis.
- Using Viridel in any jurisdiction where its use would be unlawful, or in furtherance of fraud or other financial crime.
3.2 — Circumventing technical controls
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software to extract source code or bypass license verification, except where law permits.
- Using modified, cracked, or unlicensed builds of the app.
- Probing or testing the security of Viridel without written permission — report vulnerabilities to security@viridel.com instead.
3.3 — Abuse of the service
- Sharing, selling, or sublicensing your account or license key.
- Using Viridel as a multi-user or team tool — one license is for one person.
- Automating use in ways that place disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
- Attempting to access another user's data, or scraping the API for commercial resale.
3.4 — Harmful content & payment abuse
- Using cloud sync to store illegal content, malware, or phishing material.
- Obtaining a license through fraudulent payment, or filing a fraudulent chargeback. For genuine billing errors, contact support first (see Refund Policy) — good-faith disputes after that contact are not an AUP violation.
- Sharing, redistributing, or reselling subscriptions or license keys.
4. Enforcement
We enforce proportionally. Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend cloud sync, permanently terminate the account, or report illegal activity to authorities. Minor or first-time violations usually get a warning and a chance to correct; serious violations (fraud, illegal activity, security attacks) may result in immediate action without notice.
5. Reporting Violations
To report an AUP violation or abuse: support@viridel.com. To report a security vulnerability: security@viridel.com (see the Security page for the disclosure process). We respond within 5 business days.
6. Changes & Contact
We may update this policy; material changes are notified by email and in-app at least 30 days in advance. It is governed by the laws of India (competent courts of Secunderabad, Telangana), consistent with the Terms. Questions: support@viridel.com. Related: Terms · Privacy · Refund · Security.
